NUTRIPRO

There has been considerable increase in utilisation of soya flakes / soya cakes in equine ration in recent time. Research suggests that soya contains anti-nutritive factors like Trypsin inhibitors, Saponins, Urease, metal chelating factors etc.

Full fat soya beans are subjected to extrusion prior to feeding to :

  • Improve the nutritive value
  • Denature the heat labile anti-nutritive factors

Soyabeans are forced to pass through high temperature for a short duration under specified pressure.

Extruded soya beans have the foloowing advantages :

  • Increased availability of amino acids and fact
  • Imrproved digestibility of nutrients
  • Higher fat percentage ensure higher calorie density (3750 kcal/kg) as compared to maize (3300 kcal/kg)
  • Complex sugars are broken down to simple sugars
  • Good souce of the Omega fatty acids
  • More palatable
